Job Title: Farm Laborer Job Description The Farm Technician role involves working on a farm in Garnett, KS, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to animal care, farm upkeep, and machinery operation. Responsibilities Feed animals daily and provide care as needed. Set up equipment for bleeding, maneuver animals into shoots, bleed animals as needed, and clean area thoroughly. Assist with general farm upkeep including fence lines, drainage ditches, lawn, and house/farm repairs, including minor electrical and plumbing repairs. Provide basic feed and upkeep for animals on a weekend rotation basis. Operate company vehicles and machinery such as tractors, trucks, and loaders. Check farm for safety and security as needed. Use hand-held machinery, such as grinders, drills, and weed eaters for routine farm upkeep. Report any actual or potential safety hazards to the Supervisor, Human Resources, Safety Specialist, or Sr Management. Essential Skills General labor and farm hand experience. Animal handling expertise. Basic knowledge of farming and agriculture. Experience with power tools and machinery operation. Understanding of animal science and husbandry. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma (HSD) or GED. Basic exposure to hand tools and equipment from a farming environment. 1+ years of farm or general labor experience. Basic knowledge of English and math skills. Physical ability to walk up to 2 hours per day, stand for 8 hours, and lift up to 30 lbs. Why Work Here? Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
